HOW TO LOSE 11 KG IN 2 WEEKS: THE EGG DIET

HOW TO LOSE 11 KG IN 2 WEEKS: THE EGG DIET

The egg diet is a diet low in carbohydrates and calories, but high in protein. It allows you to lose 11 kg in 2 weeks . It is designed to lose weight quickly without sacrificing the protein needed to build muscle. As the name suggests, your main source of protein will be eggs.

The egg diet has several versions, but in each of them, you can only drink water or drinks without calories. Foods rich in carbohydrates and natural sugars, like most fruits, breads, pasta and rice, are banned. The diet lasts 14 days. You have breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are no snacks, apart from water or drinks without calories.

1. The Egg Diet Plan

Although there are several versions of the egg diet, they all work the same way. You will start each day with eggs and you will continue to eat small portions of lean protein throughout the day.

Lean proteins are essentially:
  • eggs
  • chicken
  • Turkey
  • Fish

The fruits and vegetables you can eat are:

  • the grapefruits
  • oranges
  • broccoli
  • asparagus
  • the courgette
  • the mushrooms
  • spinach

In the traditional version of the egg diet, you must eat eggs or some other source of lean protein such as chicken or fish at every meal. Low-carb vegetables or grapefruit and orange are included in breakfast and dinner. An example of a meal plan would be:

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs and 1 grapefruit, or an omelette (2 eggs) with spinach and mushrooms

Lunch: 1/2 escalope of roasted chicken and broccoli

Dinner: 1 portion of fish (350 to 400g) and a green salad

Another version of the Egg Diet is the Egg and Grapefruit Diet, where you will eat half a grapefruit with each meal (instead of being optional twice a day). A meal plan for this version of the plan would be:

Breakfast: 2 cooked eggs and 1/2 grapefruit

Lunch: 1/2 escalope of roasted chicken, broccoli and 1/2 grapefruit

Dinner: 1 serving of fish (350 to 400g) and 1/2 grapefruit

The latest version of the egg diet, which is less common, is the egg-only diet. You only eat eggs. This diet is not recommended at all.
You must also consume a lot of water to hydrate and nourish your body. It is recommended to drink 8 glasses per day.

Here is your program for the 2 weeks:

    Monday :
    • Breakfast: 2 eggs + grapefruit.
    • Lunch: salad + chicken.
    • Dinner: 1 orange, salad and 2 eggs
    Tuesday :
    • Breakfast: as the day before.
    • Lunch: 2 boiled eggs + vegetables steamed.
    • Dinner: salad with 1 portion of fish
    Wednesday :
    • Breakfast: as the day before.
    • Lunch: salad + chicken.
    • Dinner: 1 orange + vegetarian salad + 2 eggs.

    2. Side effects of the egg diet

The most common side effect of an egg diet is lack of energy due to lack of carbohydrates.

Switching to this diet can also lead to nausea, constipation, flatulence and bad breath! This is because your digestive system needs to adapt.
Because eggs do not have fiber, you will need to include other foods that have them. In this way, your intestines will always be intact.
This type of diet is not sustainable, so it is important to have a healthy eating routine after this diet. Otherwise, it is useless!

    3. Is this diet safe?

What stands out in the medical community is that the egg diet is not the safest way to lose weight.

According to Harvard Medical School , it is dangerous for women to consume less than 1,200 calories a day and for men to consume less than 1,500 unless they are supervised by a health professional. With the egg diet, you'll be at 1,000 calories a day.

Eating up to seven eggs a week would reduce the risk of stroke. study conducted in 2015 even confirmed that people with diabetes could eat many more eggs than they had been offered until then.

In conclusion, this diet will make you lose 11 kg in 2 weeks. But you have to stick to 2 weeks, because this diet is not made to last in time. Unfortunately, if you do not take a healthy eating routine after this diet, you will regain the weight you just lost. So, no more than 2 weeks! And eat healthy afterwards and everything will be ok !
Note, your health is priceless. It is recommended to consult a doctor before starting any diet. If you feel bad, stop. If you suffer from diseases, deficiencies or other things, this diet is not appropriate. !
